Does anyone have any recommendations for antenatal classes to do on top of the NHS classes?

I wasn’t aware any NHS ones are running. I’m doing the Positive Birth Company Hypnobirthing online, which covers a lot of general antenatal stuff. And also just started face face with the Happy Parents Happy Baby club, it’s in Stockbridge and held on Tuesday evenings.

I run classes have a look at www.revivebeautybirthbaby.com

Everyone’s telling me to do NCT but it’s quite expensive and I’m not sure what to expect - I saw Bump and Baby club and quite like the look of it but maybe it’s style over substance? Any experiences in edinburgh with these?

I’ve decided to go ahead with the Bump & Baby club classes in Morningside!

I did the free baby academy classes and the positive birth company hypnobirthing course.

I highly recommend Grow&Gather
https://www.growandgather.co.uk

We did grow and gather and Hannah now organises meet ups for us all postnatal which are amazing!!
I would say though that it’s a lot of money for these classes and most of it we already knew from our own research. But it is great to meet mum/dad friends.
I’d personally highly highly recommend spending the time learning about what comes after birth and the first few weeks. Yes it is good to be knowledgeable about birth your options and rights but I spent so much time on that and it’s over in a flash! And then baby comes and it’s so hard to sit down and learn about weaning for example
Oh and do a safe course! We didn’t get round to it and now it’s impossible to find the time 🙈

If you can drive I highly recommend Donna gilchrist in Dunfermline :)
