Help

I’ve just got home from work and my partners mum has dropped my baby off to me after having her today with this awful sore face. She fell at a family members garden face first onto concrete slabs. I know I shouldn’t be but I’m so angry with her. What am I best using to keep this clean? also, should I be concerned about concussion? She seems to be her normal self not sleepy etc. Any advice would be appreciated 😩

Try some antiseptic ointment that looks so sore poor baby 🥺 I hope she's not in too much pain personally id be quite annoyed too x

It should only need one application of antiseptic (sudocrem), and that should be done as soon as possible. After that, vaseline will act as a barrier and help it heal. Sudocrem can be very drying and wounds heal best when they're kept moist.

Oh bless her, you're not wrong for being annoyed but she is at the age where they do seem to constantly hurt themselves exploring 💗 hope it gets better soon x

I’m so sorry to hear this. I’d be upset too although like someone else mentioned my child gets hurt on my watch as well. :( he’s 14 months old. I use this essential oil called owie oil and it’s amazing. It’s an antiseptic and gentle enough for all owies.

I think it’s a natural response to feel angry. My girl has been steady on her feet for months, when I was in the garden with her a few weeks ago she tripped and grazed her head just like this. I was there fully supervising and still it happened. I felt like the worst mum, my husband was also annoyed at me. The next day I went to a music class with her where most of the children are slightly older toddlers and their mums all told me stories of this happening/scrapes/cuts/A&E trips. Sometimes accidents happen even when we are being responsible. So honestly as long as your partner’s mum was not being neglectful sometimes it’s best to just put it down to accidents will happen. I do understand why you’re angry and I would feel exactly the same ❤️ xx
