Is labor getting closer ?

Long story!!!!

I am 38+1 and since Friday I have had on and off contractions. I don’t Think these are Braxton Hicks as I’ve been having Braxton Hicks since the late second trimester and these feel different. These contractions hurt very badly and sometimes I’m almost in tears. Friday night for about five hours I was in continuous pain with these contractions and no, I did not time them. I was at a show With friends and family.

Saturday I didn’t have any pain or contractions however I was super irritable and so tired that I could’ve slept the whole day if I wasn’t busy.

I believe part of my music plug came out, stringy and jelly, it was not a whole bunch, but it was something that I was aware of. I also was having contractions from five in the afternoon to 12 o’clock in the morning, which led me to go to the emergency room to figure out if I was in labor.

They told me that the mucus plug doesn’t mean anything and I was only half a centimeter dilated to come back to the hospital when I was having contractions 2 to 3 minutes apart. As my contractions were too inconsistent.

I went home and got some sleep from three in the morning till nine in the morning. I woke up with the worst headache I’ve ever had in my whole life. I suffer from migraines, and I understand a true headache. However, this headache was completely debilitating and extremely painful. I would say more painful than the contractions I have been feeling for the past three days . after my second dose of Tylenol and twelve hours later, my headache finally went away . I was still having extremely bad contractions however they were still inconsistent . They range from anywhere to five minutes to twenty five minutes apart . I also was able to get in to some yoga at home and after this, my dog weirdly alerted me to use the bathroom. I went to the bathroom and there was more of my mucous plug. However, it was a little confusing because there was some blood in it and a lot had come out. Not only was it vida lie in the toilet but also on the paper. (Sorry to be graphic)

Tuesday, this morning I woke up without a headache and without contractions I have been able to do some things around the house. I also was able to get some yoga in this morning. After I did this yoga, I went to the bathroom and more of my mucous plug came out however it looks like old blood and brown. This has been coming out for the last two hours.

I know this is a lot of information to give you and I know every pregnancy is different. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this with contractions going on for days and their mucous plug? Contractions have been inconsistent. I haven’t had one since 430 this morning. Is labor close?
