Sleep… what is it?

Baby number 2 is 5 days old and will not sleep during the evening unless on my chest 😴

So I’m having a good 45 minutes of sleep per night . Anyone else in the same boat 🫠

Xx

Sending love 🥲 it’s so so hard

Yes! Can’t put down at all during the night so I just have to sit up with him all night!

Yes my boy is the same! I have dropped him onto my bed a few times after falling asleep in my arms!!

My first one slept in my arms for the first three months. It was so exhausting!!!. We used to take turns with my husband so i could get some sleep(2hrs at night and 2 hrs in the morning😂😂)

Have you tried co-sleeping? I wasn’t originally open to it but this so far has been working for my husband and I, whilst he’s on paternity leave. I’ve been able to get 6 or so hours of sleep (broken for feeding). Husband has been able to get 6-8 hours of unbroken sleep so that he can do the majority of chores. With him well rested, it allows me to continue to recover and then get some unbroken naps during the day while he watches the little one. x

Health Visitor Home Visit

Hii, could anyone explain what the health visitor does on their home visit?

Also if anyone had a home birth, what the midwife home risk assessment involves?

I’ve got 3 home visits coming up in the next two weeks (health visitor, midwives and doula) and it’s making me nervous for some reason. I think having 3 just feels like a lot and a bit invasive if that makes sense!

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

Screeching baby

I have twin boys, 5months.

One is very quiet

The other... is like a pterodactyl who screeches when bored, tired, hungry, as soon as he wake up to be held etc...
This habit has only just started!

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it last?
So far it has been about 5 days 😭😭😭😭

Fighting naps

Does anybody else feel like they spend all day trying to get baby to nap? I get tempted to give up as he must not be that tired but he is too cranky to play or do anything else!

Joie Signature Parcel LX lightweight stroller

Has anyone got this stroller? Up until now we have used our mamas and papas ocarro and we love it. However we are going on holiday in June and looking at a lightweight stroller to take with us. I'm not bothered if it fits in overheard locker, I would rather have decent wheels on the stroller and this one does have slightly bigger wheels than most travel strollers we have seen. Has anyone used this stroller abroad or got any other recommendations? TIA x
