12 weeks scan on Friday ...

I am so nervous incase there is no heartbeat, or skme kind of abnormalities . Being older this time around, and having had a loss in February, I'm having a hard time feeling excited to see my baby. Anyone else the same?

My 12 week is next Wednesday and this is all I’m worried about💔 it took 6 months after my previous loss for me to get this far

I’m exactly the same. I had a loss just before Christmas and now I’m petrified. It was much earlier than this though, about 6 weeks. I have my 12 week scan today and I’m so scared. I think it’s natural since we’ve had a loss to be nervous. Im so sorry you’re going through this too 💖

I felt the same even though i had private scans at 7 & 10wks. I still had feeling (and still do) that something is going to go wrong EVEN though i have had my 12wk scan. Its normal and everything crossed for a lovely scan experience

It is a worrying time, just try to keep positive and if you’ve not had any reasons to doubt the likelihood is everything will be ok. I had bleeding for 5 days at 11 weeks and the waiting room silence made me so sick and anxious I was sure of the worst news and baby was happy and healthy.
Pregnancy after loss is a rollercoaster and I hope everything is ok tomorrow.

Yep 😞 I caved and booked a private one for tonight. I’ve not had one yet. I’m 9+3 and feel sick

I hope your scan went well!! Xx

@Rachel thanks. We had a 6 week scan with our previous baby and saw a heart beat but then still lost them at 8 weeks.
So my 6 weeks scan I've had this time , has provided little reassurance 🙃

@Jade good luck with your scan tonight x

Good luck to you… 🥰

I have my dating scan tomorrow morning. I’ve already had two scans at 6 and 8 weeks which were fine so you’d think I’d be calmer but I’m terrified! Panicking firstly if it’s still alive, and if it is if it has downs/edwards especially as I’m 35. The worst part though is knowing I’ll have to wait days to a couple of weeks for the blood test results afterwards. Pregnancy is just one big worry 😩

I completely understand - I have the same worries about heartbeat after having an MMC previously and finding out at my 12 week scan. I dread these appointments now for that reason 🥺
I’ve had a healthy pregnancy and live birth since my MMC but the fear never goes away x

Ps mine is also tomorrow (Friday) x

@Chloe good luck with your scan 🥰

how was your first scan? I had a loss in October and was earlier than this x

Avatar

thanks! Had the scan this morning and bubba doing all good. All its limbs, brain and everything where they’re meant to be. Neck fluid normal. Heartbeat nice and strong and kicking away like crazy! Hope yours goes ok tomorrow! x

you too 🤞🏻xx

Avatar

@Chloe thank you!!! So glad everything went well for you x

Avatar

thanks so much for asking, it went well and was all was fine! Still didn’t fully reassure me but I mentioned my anxiety after MC to the midwife and she said most people experience it and it tends to ease once you can feel baby move. So fingers crossed that happens sooner rather than later for us all 💖

aw that's great. I'm glad it was all OK x

Unwell after sweep

I’ve had a sweep earlier today, lost the mucus plug about a couple hours later. Got period type cramping immediately, I hadn’t even left the midwife appointment yet. I have contractions and permanent back cramping, alongside waves of nausea - which is a combination I’m struggling with as I feel quite unwell. Nowhere near labour, as I’ve had 6 contractions in the span of 3 hours or so. A midwife told me sweeps cause really bad cramping, so I assumed it was normal. But just want to check if there’s anybody out there in a similar boat? Should I be calling the hospital to check if it’s all normal?

39 Week Induction Being Pushed On

Went to my 36 week appointment today and my OB was pushing for a 39 week induction.

I want a natural spontaneous labor but my OB kept pushing for the induction even if I’m low risk and healthy. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Has your life become a living nightmare since becoming a mom?

Sometimes I become conscious of the fact that I just have to wake up tomorrow morning and do this all over again. Every day. And then I wanna bash my head into a brick wall

6 weeks pp no cervical check?

Hey yall! I had an emergency C-Section 6 weeks ago after my bp was sky high with baby boy at 39 week appt. Went for my 6 week pp appt today and all she did was look at my incision sight and said I was good to go. Is this normal?? Is it actually ok to use tampons/menstrual cups now??
