I’m a single mum with little to no childcare. A few ‘old flames’ have been attempting to talk to me. Now I wouldn’t invite every Tom dick and harry to my house. If that’s the impression anyone gets from this. But what are your opinions on inviting someone who you are not necessarily dating; but seeing where it goes to your house when your toddler is asleep?
Reason I mentioned old flames is because it would be someone I’ve known from the past not someone I’ve just met.
Also had to mention not dating as wouldn’t want to introduce them to DC

Would they be staying over the night, or would they just be coming over for a date for a few hours in the evening?
date/ few hours. Not staying the night

In that case, I don't see a problem. As long as toddler stays asleep & doesn't wake up, have a lovely time 😊

If you know them already then yes

I think it’s fine if you know the person and your kid will be asleep (and the person will be understanding if your kid wakes up). I did this with the person who I’m now dating to start off with and it worked well. Now we have sleepovers and they see my child briefly in the morning but don’t hang out. It’s all good.

I think it’s fine if it’s someone you already know well.
I don’t think I would invite a stranger or someone I’ve only met once or twice to my house when my kids are there in case they’re a serial killer or something🤣 but if I already knew them fairly well I would if the kids were in bed and I knew it was unlikely they would wake back up.
