I was diagnosed my whole pregnancy until 2 weeks ago when she measured higher than she has been, I’m almost 39’weeks. She got down to the 2nd percentile but slowly was growing so they never talked about inducing me. I had ultrasounds weekly and nsts weekly

I’m in the same boat at 36+5 today. Baby is in the 5% currently and I get 2 NST a week and an ultrasound/doppler done every week till I deliver. I still don’t have a full idea of what caused it. Just make sure your hospital bags are packed and you get some preemie outfits. At any appointment they could tell you it’s time.

Yup. We are IUGR. 8% overall and 5% AC as of last week. Im 33w6d days. He was fine at the 20 week appointment and measuring 50% overall.
We do weekly NST’s at the gyno on Friday and weekly BPP’s at the hospital on Tuesday every week. Planning on being induced at 37 or 38 weeks. The sonographer found that i have a marginal cord insertion at my last growth scan (not sure why it was just caught now?) last week and thinks its possible that is what caused the IUGR but you cant know for certain. Its nice to have some kind of explanation though.
Make sure you’re counting kicks daily! And if you feel anxious or have any questions, join the “IUGR Support Group” on fb. I have loved it. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. I have researched for weeks 😮💨😅.

I was told this at about 32w due to low birth weight . They told me they were going to induce me at 37w to assure she gets everything she needs for upside the womb. I’ve been doing NST once a week & Sonograms as well . Everything has been fine & she’s growing slowly but surely . I’m now going on 39w & she still in there . Don’t let ‘em scare you !! Just trust your baby is well

How do you find out if they have fetal growth restriction? Ultrasound?

Medial cord insertion is one of the causes for IUGR. I had a scare at the anatomy scan and they continued to monitor the MCI during each ultrasound. About 3 ultrasounds ago, baby measured in the 96th percentile so safe to say our MCI wasn’t an issue. Currently 38 weeks today with my first and stuck between wanting to see my baby boy and not wanting to be done with being pregnant 🥹🥲😅

Same here! Just found out today. I am 36 weeks and 2 days along as well
