Hello all so our little family of 3 are going to San Diego from Pensacola for my mom’s birthday. This is my son’s first time on a plane and I am also pregnant with #2. Thankfully my husband is coming with me but im incredibly nervous about how my son will behave. Do any mamas have any tips for me on traveling with a toddler? Any advice would help 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Having a second set of hands will definitely help.
I bring lots of easy snacks for him. And I mean a lot. I usually try to find something that’s new/enjoyable for him to snack on. You can also pack a cooler bag for milk.
Not sure if you’re doing lap infant or a car seat, but having a carrier was helpful. You can’t use it during takeoff or landing, but it helped “contain” him when he was getting tired and walking (or even just sitting) with him in the carrier helped me get him to sleep - this was for all day travel, so may not be necessary for you.
I’ve brought new board books with flaps that you can lift in order to occupy his hands for a while. Any sort of new, attention-grabbing toy. It doesn’t have to be loud, but just something that keeps them occupied. I allowed for screen-time and downloaded shows that he’d watch for a little bit. Different airlines will offer different kid-friendly shows on their streaming platforms.

Let him run around the airport in a safe and mostly empty space before the flight in order to get some of that energy out.
