Induction vs C-section

Hi all,

So I’ve had a scan at 36 weeks and baby is showing a big tummy (95th) but average head and leg measurements. Also increased fluid so have to go see the consultant next week to be rescanned and discuss options for little lady coming early. I am interested in any opinions for induction vs C-section in this situation if she does have to come early 😬 just to add this is our rainbow baby after a horrendous journey so am probably overly anxious as it is!

Edit-sorry wasn’t clear! Baby is measuring big at approx 7lbs already if that makes any difference!

Induction is often really hard on small babies and fairly common to end in an emergency c-section. If you think she would be better to come out, I personally would think about planning an elective c-section to be more relaxed and controlled. Avoids distressing your body and baby with a failed induction if it doesn’t work as well xx

my baby is measuring small so below the 10th, they wanted to induce me at 37 weeks and i decided that i didn’t want that as i have heard so many things about inductions and how they end up being emergency c sections most of the time, so i decided to go with a c section instead as its planned it will be a calm environment, not overwhelming and over and done with in an hour, yes recovery is long but as long as you have the support around you and keep up with your pain relief i’ve heard it is perfectly fine. i’m having my c section this wednesday coming (the 5th of June) yes i am nervous but that’s just normal, as it gets closer i feel more excited. its completely your choice to make, either way its what you think is best for you and your baby and that’s all that matters x

I had an elective with my first, who was 10.2lb in the end, best decisions, a lot of the time inductions end up in a section so I just thought I’d skip the drama! Having another this time around couldn’t rate it enough!

Is this normal?

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Fed up

Anyone else just feeling fed up in general? I just never feel happy anymore. Wake up dreading what the day ahead of us will be like.

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?

32 weeks

32 week growth scan and clinic appointment. Did anything unusual happen? Ive heard a few people saying 32 weeks was when they had a induction date
