Hospital bag question 🙋‍♀️

If you download emmas diary you can get the packs from argos they usually have nappy cream in them itll save u buying any and theyre only little so dont take up loads of space in hospital bag x

I packed sudo cream in my hospital bag and I used it as soon as my daughter was born xxxx

I thought nappy cream and sudocrem are the same thing? When would you use sudocrem vs nappy cream?

I bought some ahead of time so that I would have it when I needed it, but I didn’t bring it to the hospital

I did but didn’t need at the hospital but had it just in case

Took sudocrem but didn’t need it. I think you’re so aware of their nappies in the first instance because they like to monitor how many wet nappies etc they’ve done before you go home, so they’re not likely to be sat in them for long enough to cause them to get sore.

I took cotton wool balls with me for my daughter but didn’t end up using them in hospital. Her first (meconium) poo was massive - leaked out of her nappy and right up to her shoulders.🙈 But because I was hooked up to a blood transfusion and couldn’t move much, and my husband had left and not allowed back with Covid restrictions at the time, my midwife changed her and cleaned her up for me. She grabbed the wipes and just cracked on, so I didn’t end up using the cotton wool in hospital.

If I remember rightly, I probably had some in the bag because I put all the baby's stuff in the change bag. I don't think we used it for a few months anyway. We found sudocrem stung a bit so we used bepanthen
