Burping

My baby two months old and we still do. His doctor said most need it until at least 4 months old.

6 months. Both my boys stopped spitting up at that point.

I get so frustrated when it comes to burping because my baby hates being burped and then I have to deal with him being gassy and yesterday he got colicky for the first time and I broke down with him. I can’t wait for the burping phase to be over with! Any tips ?

Not until he was walking and holding a bottle by himself. So probably around 10/11 months.

maybe different formula? Gas drops? Talk to his pediatrician as well.

how do you burp him ?

I got him over my shoulder and on sit him on my knee. He doesn’t seem to like any way that I try to burp him.

You could try tummy time on your chest. So you be in a half reclining position about 45 degrees. But baby on your chest and be tummy to tummy. This was it's a bit of everything. Cuddles, tummy time, closeness but still a little pressure on him to burp. You can put a burp cloth on you so if he does spit up. And and you still pat his back or massage it. My daughter loves this when she can't get a burp out

a lot of times when I burp my son he won’t burp but if I have him on my knee I hold under his chin and the kinda push in on his back so he’s completely straight up and just hold that position for about 20 seconds he will burp and if he doesn’t then I continue to pat his back and then try again I don’t know if that makes sense it’s kinda hard to explain but that’s the only way I can get him to burp
