Hello lovely people, I trust we are all doing well ? Sorry to disturb you this glorious morning but is not so great for me here. Am 26 +2 weeks today and I have been having this sharp pain under my right breast, I have been to the ED concerning this issue about a month ago and they said is Acid Reflux and I was given a medication for it, I have finished the cause and the pain is still there waiting to see the GP for check up in few weeks time.
This morning while’s I was sleeping I felt the pain again but very painful like a stabbing pain, I have called Triage but they said I should go to ED, I tried explaining things to her so I could get checked with them but they still insist I should go to ED, so am wondering if anyone have been experiencing this before and how they dealt with it, I can’t even sit down because the pain is too much when I do.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated 😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏

I had the same during my pregnancy, probably starting about the same time too. Painful stabbing under my breast, got worse if I sat down too long.
They told me it was likely just my LO kicking/knocking a rib that had left it bruised or inflamed. It didn't go away until a couple of weeks post partum I'm afraid.
That said, it is always better to get checked out. It isn't unheard of for a baby to break a rib if they kick in just the right spot!

Thanks Emma but what is LO 😂. And yes I have reported this and have been seen by a doctor but is still getting worse by the day, is been ongoing for more than two months now.

This is a real common symptom and happened in all 3 of pregnancies. My last pregnancy was worse and from 25 weeks I lived off gastro tablets until I gave birth. If you feel it’s urgent then would say go to A&E to rule it out and if required they refer you to triage.

Thanks Bella, am still waiting if the pain will settle if not then I will have to go, I just don’t understand why triage won’t let me come in since I have been to the A&E not long ago with the same issues

triage will only see you if things are affecting the baby. So if movements are reduced or any bleeding etc. just remember that most staff in triage are midwives so if ur issue is not pregnancy related they may not have the knowledge to know what’s wrong with you. I know it’s frustrating and u may be concerned about baby but when u go A&E voice ur concerns and they can always get triage to follow up after. I learnt this through my last pregnancy and they see it as they take care of you first and baby after.

thank you very much I understand where you are coming from now, I will go to A&E then take it from there. This is really helpful 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

good luck. Hope they can sort things for you.
