Tap water in turkey

I know you can’t drink tap water in Turkey but is it ok to wash bottles etc and then use it with sterilising tablets? Or should I use bottled water for that? And for drinking do I need to boil the bottled water for baby or just it straight from the bottle? Sorry if this is a stupid question

I washed in the tap water and was fine, I just made sure it was hot and used the tap water with the sterilising tabs. I have water straight from the bottled didn’t bother boiling as didn’t trust how clean the kettle was. I first went when my baby was 7 months and was absolutely fine. Went back at 12 months again was fine.

You can use the tap water if you live there because turkeys water is quite harsh. So if you’re from the uk or anywhere else and you drink turkeys water 99% chance you’re going to get sick. I’m Turkish and go turkey multiple times a year and I still get sick every single time 🫢 Last time I went with my baby using tap water to sterilise or wash is okay just don’t drink it!

Thanks guys, so far so good we’ve been here 2 days now and no issues 🤞🏻

I’m just back from turkey last night with my 7month old, I used hot tap water and sterilising tablets for her bottles. Then I used bottled water to make up her bottles! She absolutely loved her holiday!

@Tori yep mine loves it so far too, she’s not doing half as bad with the heat as I thought!!

Same here! I think my little one coped better than I did with the heat! 🤣have a good holiday x
