May I ask why you’re being induced please? 🫶🏼 sending you lots of positive vibes and wishing you a peaceful induction! Xx

She’s not growing properly! She’s getting smaller but they think it’s because of my stress levels and high blood pressure xx

My first was induced. I had the pessary. It took less than 24 hours and was pretty straightforward. Just boring having to wait x

Everyone has different experiences when it comes to being induced but i had the drip with my 2nd baby and I didn't know it would work so bloody fast! I didn't really prepare myself for the fact it would go in and not long after I'd start contracting so definitely mentally prepare yourself for that. From start to finish it took 1hour and 45 mins!! So I really didn't have time to adjust to what was happening and I had no clue things could happen that fast.it doesn't happen like that for alot of people though but I just wish someone told me it would be a possibility. x

I was induced with my daughter and it was a positive experience (I’m now pregnant with my second!). One thing that helped me personally was a tens machine, have you looked into one of these? It helped me with the pain of contractions and allowed me to get some extra sleep. Don’t work for everyone but definitely worked for me and I’d recommend trying it! Also, take a comfy pillow, lip balm, hand cream and a water bottle as you only have the little plastic cups there!

Best of luck!🥰

Honestly steer clear of any horror stories. Your baby is going to be in your arms real soon. I was induced with my first. Pessary didn’t work so the wait was boring but drip went in at 11pm and my girl was born 6.38am. Had a very positive experience overall! Good luck 🥰❤️

Just be mentally prepared that the process can take days for some. Personally for my first, I accepted the induction thinking it would be a quick process. I was in the hospital for 6 days and a lot of it was waiting around for a bed to be available on the labour ward so they could take me, break my waters and get the actual labour started. Obviously that’s if your body doesn’t go into labour itself prior.

If any woman comes in and she is in active labour and you are not, that labour room will be given and you’ll be left waiting.

Be prepared mentally that during the hospital stay prior to labour, whilst you have the pessary etc, you might not be able to have your partner at night as you’ll be in a ward sharing with 4 other beds.

By no means am I trying to scare you but I really wish someone had told me these things before I went in for an induction so I was mentally ready to potentially be alone or be waiting days before baby

Good luck, hope all goes well xx

Take snacks and some entertainment, a long phone charger is also a must! I would say once they start with the induction try and walk around as much as you can or get on the pregnancy ball. It helps move things along ☺️ good luck hun, you’ve got this! You will be holding your little one soon ❤️

I was induced with my first and one thing I had no idea was how tiring and long the whole process can be. We went in on a Monday morning at 830am, didn't get the pessary till dinner time, and I didn't go into labour till Tuesday evening! By the time I was in active labour I was so tired as we hadn't had any sleep at all since Monday morning! So, I recommend that when you first go in and aren't having contractions yet, try to rest and sleep as much as possible. I know it's exciting and hard to rest but you'll really need the energy to get through labour and to push baby out! You've got this! So excited for you!

I found out today I’m getting induced when I’m 37 +1 which is next Tuesday and I’m just anxious nervous stressed. I feel agitated because I feel I have so much left to do around the house
