What is the point of putting dishes away???
Like after handwashing them I get it, the kitchen maybe looks cluttered … but still, is there a point????? with a dishwasher, I’m just going to use it all again and probably straight away… I feel like my life literally revolves around constantly washing dishes, putting them away only to take them down again and use and wash… I know it’s such a first world problem as much as I hate that term… but honestly I want to know, can’t I jsut use my dishwasher as storage for out plates etc???? Can’t I just leave some dishes on the drying rack. Can’t the cabinets jsut be used for the “once in a while dishes” ??????

In your own home do whatever you want. If you dont want to put them away then don't. But if you keep the clean ones in the dishwasher and use straight from there, where are you going to keep the dirty ones until the dishwasher is totally emptied of all the clean?
I have a friend who uses their dishwasher as a drying rack....
I turned it on once and she asked what I was doing. I told her that it was full so I was washing them for her. This was after a dinner party she was hosting.
I was thinking to let them soak in a dish bucket until the dishwasher is empty, then I restart the whole process. Sometimes I want to throw all dishes out and just husband and kids and I all eat from the one serving dish lmaoo! At least I’ll jsut have the one dish and a couple of spoons to clean then! I’m sure that’s what it’s like in rural l/tribal areas!
That’s what my partner keeps saying 😂 that he will throw all plates and bowls out and we will have one bowl each and have one set of cutlery each and nothing else to avoid all the washing up.
My argument was there there will be the same amount of washing up cause you’ll just be washing the same dish over and over like 3 or 4 times a day.
It’s never ending, I agree 😵💫😂
What you need is to re model your kitchen and have 2 dishwashers. One for dishes that are just washed that you take out and use, and the other for putting the dirty ones in after use. Then you have no putting dishes away, and no dirty dishes sitting for days in the sink. X
