Anyone else find it interesting that “Daddy’s girl” has positive connotations, but “Mummy’s boy” has negative ones?

But then again daddys dont act like theyre dating their daughters whereas "mummy boys" have moms that act like its thier son and no one elses including future gfs/wives.

Very true! Its also interesting the whole Girl Dad vs Boy Mom perspective. One tends to be said with positivity surrounding it the other not so much.

@zaina what about those dads that are so overprotective over their daughters when they’re dating and with the clothes that they wear, or where they threaten the boyfriends with a shotgun, or I’ll kill you if you hurt her type stuff lol. I think I’ve seen like that in tv/movies and heard of dads being like that.
I do agree tho that it daddy’s girls seems to be more positive than mommy’s boys by what you just explained of how mothers act like their dating their sons lol

Usually it’s positive when men have strong relationships with their daughters as the daughters respect their fathers more, dads show their daughters how to resolve problems on their own, and in return fathers will encourage daughters to foster positive relationships with their husbands.

However, as women we are very emotional beings and will cater to our boys being emotional or cater to EVERYTHING for them. In theory that sounds great, but it leads men to be hyper emotional (scientifically does not mix well with testosterone), typically manipulative, lazy, or have emotional incest with their mothers. It’s very hard to explain, but there is a good reason as to why this phenomenon exists.

I know I might get hate for saying it but 🤷‍♀️
