Weaning and allergies

Has anyone had a similar experience: my ebf daughter has shown no sign of allergies but since weaning her in the past week she is now showing signs. It started on Friday when she had cow and gate baby porridge and within 5 minutes she came out in loads of hives, swollen lips and face and a rash.. went straight to the doctors and they said it'll be the oats. I've just given her some mashed potato and used full fat cows milk instead of my breast milk and butter in it and she's had another slight reaction and won't stop itching. Is it possible she has a milk allergy even though I've eaten dairy for the past 6 months and she's been fine?

I think they can only take cows milk from 12 months on , might be the milk ?

Cows milk before 12 months old needs to be cooked in the food so if you just added it to the mash it could be that x

You can use cows milk in food to make it creamier etc from 6 months, they just can't drink it until 12 months. Health visitor said it was fine to do.

Been to the doctors and it's looking like a dairy allergy so doing dairy free weaning for a month then trying her again.
