Normal or No?

My heart doesn’t feel like it’s going fast but it feels like it is pumping so hard that I can feel it in my chest and neck . Is this because of more blood volume or should I be concerned

It happens to me occasionally honestly, even outside of pregnancy. I think it's a blood pressure thing. Try some box breathing (inhale for 4, hold for 4, let out for 4) and just relax and try not to think about it. It'll pass, but if you're worried about it, it absolutely never hurts to call your OB team to just check in with them to make sure everything is ok 💜

Yepp yepp, my anxiety spikes like that sometimes, maybe that's why breathing techniques help me so much, who knows 😅 if that's the case, an ice pack on the back of the neck may help as well!

I literally had this earlier too!! My heart was literally pumping out of my chest and all I had done was walk downstairs to my bedroom 🫠 I’m pretty sure it’s because your heart has to work a little harder to pump extra blood while your pregnant

This is normal in pregnancy ☺️ but def can always check your blood pressure as well! I have chronic hypertension. With pregnancy though… it’s usually just the extra blood flow! I have it all the dang time.

This happened to me early in my first trimester around week 6-8. I kept my apple watch on to keep my pulse rate monitored and religiously took my bp. Doc said it’s actually normal to feel like that being that your body is learning to pump more blood and you now have two heartbeats :)

I felt this a lot when late in my first pregnancy. I used my Apple Watch to help me track my heart rate. Like everyone else has said it’s often very normal. Drink some more water and rest if you feel it coming on. And, bring it up at your next appointment so that if it becomes something more, you know when it’s started and have talked about it with your doc.
