Aptamil pepti 1?!
So my little girl has been prescribed Aptamil pepti 1 milk today as they suspect she has CMPA and the first 2 bottles has took a few oz and then point blank refused it! Is anyone’s little ones on this and had the same issue to start with?! And if so how did they overcome it? Thanks in advance!

My little one is now on alfamino and is doing the same. He was on pepti but didn’t tolerate.
I had this with my first baby, don’t worry they will want it when they are hungry. Keep making feeds as normal and even if it’s just an ounce or two while they get used to it eventually they will start to take it.
My LO hardly fed yesterday and just had 4 oz of this alfomino.

We have to mix the 2 together basically until he adjusted to the taste xx

she was on kendamil!
This morning we have mixed some of that kendamil with the pepti 1 and she’s taken that so might have to try and wean her off that way!
Has your LO adjusted to the taste now after the mix? Xx
yeah we had to just add it ounce by ounce until he was fully adjusted. He’s fine on it now. We’re actually at the other end and have been trying to get him on to cows milk but it makes him so poorly so they have now asked us to try wean him on to normal formula now and then once we’ve managed that try again with cows milk.
We managed the milk ladder apart from actual milk itself. So we’re presuming it’s one of the live bacteria’s that upset him as anything cooked seems to be fine now he’s older. Xx
I’ll give the weaning ago cos then least am getting something in her and see if that works, if not I’ll get in contact with the HV!
Oh really so how old is he now? Hopefully the formula works for you! I know they say some kids grow out of it as well so hopefully that’s the case for your little boy! Xx
yeah took good few feeds to get them used to it.
Don’t get disheartened you’re doing great and lo will eventually get there. And hopefully grow out of it.

today I have mixed 1 scoop of her normal formula to the other formula and she’s been taking it! So going to try and wean her off it that way!
I don’t blame her for not liking it though it absolutely stinks! 🤣 xx
he’s 20 months now. We’ve been on the Pepti milk since he was 6 months. We’ve tried to wean on to cows milk at 12 and 18 but failed both times. Xx
