Weight gain

I’m 25 weeks now and was just wondering how much weight everyone else has put on so far? I have a slightly raised BMI so am aware my target will be slightly less than someone with a ‘normal’ BMI. But I don’t feel I’ve put on that much? I don’t know what’s considered average weight gain for this stage of pregnancy. And they don’t weigh you at appts apart from booking so I’m not sure if I’m on trac/piling on the pounds or a little less than expected 😂🤷‍♀️
Hope everyone’s doing ok 🤍✨

I’m 24+2 and I’ve put on 10kg but I am having twins. I also don’t know what is normal and what’s too much🤣💕

Hey, I think every body is SO different! I am close to 23 weeks and put on 4,5 kg ish (depending on how bloated I am 😂🙏)! If you are really interested there are weight calculators in pregnancy online, but again i think every body is different (and BMIs are not always very accurate either). ☺️

I haven’t weighed myself once and when the midwives do it I look away cos I know it will really get me down 😭 last couple of weeks I’ve suddenly exploded ha and now I’ve hit 25 weeks I’ve started to gain everywhere including my arms and legs! Finding it so tough as I was lean before and am still training in the gym 3/4 times a week with reformer Pilates too.
But everytime I get upset about my body I just think how grateful I am to be growing my little miracle girl 🩷

I think I’m at about 6-8kg gained now not sure what that is in English but that’s what the hospital does it in

No idea. I don't weight myself. I'm trying to keep active and eating well (trying being a key word hahah) otherwise I do not worry.

aw I’m sorry you feel so down about your weight! Good for you for exercising so regularly too! My backs put me out and I’m only managing short walks or short swims. Definitely wish you didn’t get upset about your changing body but can completely understand. You’re housing your little one and nothing is more amazing than that! 🤍

I have a average bmi and have put on about 9 kg - 20 weeks. My last pregnancy I was under weight at the beginning and put on 32 kg by end of pregnancy! Lol I think it just depends. As long as your eating not tooo crazy should be fine! ❤️

yeah I hate BMI, I’m a nurse so think it’s so inaccurate to judge people by. So I never weighed myself before my pregnancy but since my 11 weeks booking apt and now 25 weeks I’ve put on 4kg. My bump has really started to pop in the last month. My clothes still fit, getting snug on my bump but my work trousers and the arms of my tops ect all fit still. I probably have enough fat reserve for 5 babies tbf 😂 might have a look at weight calculator just to see, all I’ve wanted is sweet things and trying so hard to limit that, so I’m just intrigued. As someone whose always hated talking about my weight I find this all odd that now I’m interested 😂🤷‍♀️

I’m not even bothering looking at the scales. I’m 24+3 with twins and I do know though I actually lost weight at the start of pregnancy because of the sickness!

I've put on about 20lbs so far but my BMI was 18 at the start so slightly on the low side. I'm supposed to put on 25-35lbs overall and I think it's probably gonna be more like 35-40lbs by the end 🙃

I’m 22 weeks and have put on around 3lbs/1.2kg, but I think that was due to going on holiday rather than baby related as it was all in one week. Im expecting it to increase more steadily from now though

I think I'm about the same as I was at the start because I lost about 5kg in first trimester with sickness. So I suppose I've put on 5kg since start of second trimester!
