So BD left 2 weeks ago has since requested he sees our son 7 days a week which isn't possible with my schedule. He said he was trying to do things without a lawyer well yesterday night I came home and was served custody papers! He wants full custody and claims that he has concerns about my mental health (I have PTSD). He is the one that told me a few weeks ago he really needed help and told me he was thinking of committing đ so now I'm at a loss. I live in Minnesota and I know it's a women's state but I'm scared he will find some way for me to lose my son. What do I do??? I've contacted lawyers but it's the weekend so I won't hear back till monday...

Iâm from the uk but i can reassure you, He wonât be given full custody. More than likely shared custody.
I would try and gather all evidence you have off him saying he was going to harm himself to also provide to solicitor đ©·

What Emily said, document everything and get evidence of him saying he wanted to hurt himself! Also try going and seeing a therapist for your ptsd things like that make it look really good to a judge that youâre actually pursuing help.

No one is going to get full custody for no reason! PTSD or not, mental health conditions or not.. abuse or child being unsafe - yes.
Donât stress about him getting full custody please!! Gather all your evidence as above have said đ©·

He has to proven youâre an unfit mom first to win full custody so more than likely itâll be share custody and heâll still have work with you on a parenting schedule that fits both parents lifestyle and then if you canât agree on a schedule, the magistrate (judge) will determine one for you guys so either way it goes he still has work with your schedule. Also if he told you how he felt it you have that in text (print off for court) so you can have your evidence about his mental health as well. Good luck with it all

He wonât get full custody maybe joint custody

Juiki hi mitt try kiss hi tot

Do you have evidence of him saying he wanted to commit đ?
Whoâs got a better living situation? Is baby in daycare or school? (Which one)

The main thing is your son maybe yall can work it out in mediation without attacking each other its better that way.
@Nelly the only proof I have recorded it the text he send saying he really really really needs to see someone who can help him. I live at my grandma's and he lives at his mom's but his mother has a dog that has bitten me several times. My son is watched by my grandma while I work.

it depends if he has money . his mental health how he was raised etc. & depends how old the child is .
@nicu my son is 10 months old. His mom is paying for his lawyer. His mental health is not good at all

is not that easy .
They can tell him to put himself on

i hope everything is ok w. mamma& baby đ€

not to be offensive to anyone but you could literally be strung out on drugs in the streets and he still wouldnât get full custody lol donât worry most men canât even handle being fulltime dads and thatâs manipulation. just try and get an attorney and go from there love
