I'm 8 weeks PP from an emergency cesarean and I have no clothes that fit and in this heat its been awful. I decided to go shopping and get myself some new clothes what a big mistake. Nothing fit me in a size 12 so that means I'm a 14 or 16 (previously a size 8!) I had a full on meltdown in the changing room and couldn't stop crying now I'm just so down about the way I look. My once perfect body has gone and I just don't see it ever coming back. I love that it gave me my daughter but now I'm just distraught I'll never be the same again especially with my pouch, saggy belly and stretch marks. I know it's still so early and I need to eat to feed my baby but I just don't want to even look at myself and feel so down about it😫 not sure what this post was for just needed to let it all out

You’re not alone. I worked for years to get me “perfect” body and I’ve been left with the hugest love handles, saggy pouch and horrendous stretch marks. I cry everytime I look at my body - nothing fits me either I live in leggings and huge oversized shirts.
I have a family wedding in September and have had to send back 4 dresses that once upon a time would have looked breathtaking on me and now I can’t get them past my waist and if I do you just see fat bulges everywhere

Hey mama sending virtual hugs to you, I’m sorry you feel like this. Yes very true it’s still very early but i understand how you truly feel, i am a c-section mum and honestly its been a journey for me i wouldn’t even look at the mirror at certain days. I just wish i cherished my body before pregnancy. our bodies are strong, we carried and birthed a child we are indeed superior. We might not get our bodies back how we wanted it which is upsetting but trust me we will have work to get to our goal and learn to also love our mum bodies.
You doing amazing!!!
Also i will definitely recommend you wear a belly wrap whenever your body feels ready, it will help your body close up.
@Mimi it's the hardest time on top of all the hormone changes! Remember a time when I hated my body now I'd give anything to have that back. I'm going to try getting my steps up ro 10k a day and go from there 💪 I have a holiday in September too and also start swimming lessons with my little one so the aim is to feel better in my skin by then
@Aaliyah thank you 😊 🙏 that's the only thing making me feel better is that my body gave me my beautiful baby girl and I'm proud of that. I'll learn to love myself again one day im sure just the start of another body journey for us. I'll have a look at a belly wrap thank you 😊

You made a baby with that body - it’s still perfect, if a little different . If you can try and ignore the size tags, (none of them are standard anyway) and try and buy something that flatters your new shape and hopefully you’ll feel a bit better! Xx

I am exactly the same!!!! Other than having a baby boy , I could have written this post myself! Xx
@Katie you had your baby boy the same day I had my girl!bzx
@Victoria I know and that's what I'm holding onto. I just don't know what flatters me anymore 😕

How funny is that!!! Well I’m here to chat because I feel the exactly the same!! Xxx

I had my little girl on the 26th of April by emergency C and I'm in the same boat. I feel like I've lost my sexy. Do t get me wrong I'm so proud of my body because it was my little girls home but I feel so disconnected from it.
Ive got a wedding in August my partner is the best man so I'm making an extra effort, I've bought some Bridget Jones pants and I'm going for it, yes I'm buying dresses which will hide my pooch a little bit more but I'm going to look good! I'm manifesting it 🙈😂
I think half the problem is I've become a mom but forget that I'm also still Megan so I haven't been trying my wardrobe has been based around what's easy to feed in not what makes me feel good.
