Body image

21 months pp and this is how my body looks. How do you deal with accepting your new body? I used to be a size 0 now I’m a size 6. I try to accept my new body but sometimes I feel like it doesn’t help when my mom sees me and says things like “after the baby you’re fat now” or “I had 4 kids and my body looked like I had no kids” any advice on body acceptance?

If I can give you any advice it would be to be kind to yourself. Advice i should personally use! I am nearly 6 months PP, I’ve lost 5 babies two at 18 weeks and I have a nearly 5 year old & nearly 6 month old.

I hate my body, I’ve put weight on since having my little boy. Have very little motivation to lose the weight but want too, and I’m heaviest I’ve ever been.

For some of us it’s really hard to accept our bodies changing so much as most of us don’t ’bounce back’.

Give yourself time and do what you feel is right xx

Is hard. Recently i read that with a C-section is more difficult to come back to your body shape, which is not fair, but is our reality. I'm not sure what to do to improve my body, and I'm a bit worried,and accept my new body is been difficult for me too. You are not alone

I did a postpartum semi nude photoshoot for my birthday this year. I decided I was tired of being unhappy with my body and was just going to embrace it

I used to be like size 4 to 6 and now an 8 to 10. Small shirts to large. I freaking hate every second of it. I finally found a gym with child care so working out now want to lose 50 pounds

I had a hard time after my first baby. It took a major diet and some exercise to start turning it around. I went strict keto with fasting for a couple of months and lost over 30 pounds. I had my second baby March 14 almost 7 years later and I know I need to do it again. The difference is I’m actually working this time and older so it’s harder to commit. I cannot accept myself how I am now. I’m sorry, I know it’s hard

Some helpful things to hear from some one who’s in constant recovery from an eating disorder;

Your body works so hard. To sustain your own life; and it did magic by creating a whole new life. Your body loves you, even when you struggle to love it, it’s always trying its hardest to keep you healthy!
Also how frequently are you meeting people that see you from your own height? For myself it’s a rarity & reminding myself of such helped me put my body image into perspective. I only know what I see, and how I feel, and how what I see makes me feel, I know absolutely nothing of how someone taller than me perceives me.

Dancing in underwear or naked is fun, and empowering & eventually helps shed some pounds!
hoola hooping is another super fun easy one low impact option!

If you were going to endeavor into dieting in any capacity I’d suggest approaching it with focus on protein intake over counting calories! 🫶🏼 my inbox is always open to ya if you ever need

Like many mama have already said, be nice to yourself and don't compare yourself to anyone. Everyone is different and pregnancy changes everyone's body in different ways.

I went from size 4s and 6s to 10s and large. It's definitely not easy, but you have to find yourself again. Fall in love with the body that created something beautiful
