Has anyone birthed at royal oak Beaumont in the karmanos birthing center? This is where I am planning to go in November but I haven’t heard much from them besides a tour. The rooms are to DIE FOR.

Good luck actually getting admitted to the Karmanos birthing center. If your blood pressure is even slightly elevated above perfect, they won’t let you in and you’ll be in the general birthing center. I don’t know anyone who planned to birth there, actually get let in, myself included. I’m considering u of m natural birthing center for my next pregnancy for this reason… just so far from us 😭
wow that is really disappointing to hear. Hopefully no bp issues arise 😢

Yes it’s really unfortunate! Trying to naturally birth in the normal hospital rooms is very hard and the farthest thing from ideal!!
The thing is, if your experiencing pain and discomfort from labor when you get to the hospital, your blood pressure will be slightly elevated as a response to that pain. So I genuinely do not understand how your suppose to get admitted to the Karmanos birthing center

@Myranda I spent 5 weeks inpatient at U of M's women's hospital for severe pre-eclampsia and delivered via c-section there. I cannot talk enough about how amazing they are. They saved mine and my baby's lives, and even my higher risk c-section was a very smooth, pleasant experience.

hi op! Hoping you were able to have the labor and delivery you hoped for! ❤️ How was your experience at Karmanos natural birthing center?
