Omeprazol

Hello, we use omeprazole and gaviscon. We give omeprazole in the evening just because it works better for us as he absolutely hates it.
We have had to up his dose as he has got bigger.
I imagine if you split it into two doses and baby has 2ml in the morning you might find that your baby will need it again before his next dose because it’s not that much (being used to 4ml), for example if you gave it in the morning he might need it again around lunch time and then that may tie him over until evening time, then he might need another dose, I’m not sure if that’s making any sense?😂 I could be wrong and it might just work for him.
As they get bigger often the dose does need increasing xx

Yes that's what I'm worried about. Splitting the dose in half wouldn't be enough.

We've just had the dose increased to match weight and because he was on the lowest dose for his weight. It works really well in the morning then just seems to wear off

When did you have it increased ? It can take a while to build up . How many sachets of gaviscon are you using ? We found starting off the day with gaviscon helped because it builds throughout the day.
I’m not a. Expert by any means just going off based on our experience xx

Oh but actually if you use omeprazole in the AM you’d need to wait to use gaviscon wouldn’t you xx
