Second pregnancy - frequent braxton hicks
This is my 2nd pregnancy, I’m 31+3 currently and having daily braxton hicks contractions numerous times a day. I’ve been having the odd mucus-y discharge since 20 weeks. My body feels soooo much further ahead this time around… my first baby is 14months (so I don’t know if it’s just “ready to go” again🤣) but I’m beginning to feel a lot closer to the end than I actually am🫠 would you say this is normal for a second pregnancy, especially when my first isn’t considerably older???
First pregnancy I was in triage at least once a week from 34weeks due to reduced movements (the first visit I had braxton hicks so strong they thought I was in actual labour) she was born at 40+1 after having my waters broken for me.
I hate the last trimester😮💨

This is my 4th baby and iv felt similar. More frequent, stronger braxton hicks from earlier on in pregnancy. Feeling like I'm a lot more pregnancy then I am (32+4). I am older this time though, so put some of it down to that too. I really wouldn't want to say how "normal" it is, but I do think you are more aware of everything once you have done it before! Always contact your midwife if you are worried though xx
yehhh the braxton hicks have been killing me off😭 I guess it’s just the body knows the score now and like you say, we know what’s coming x

Yep I'm the same lovely. 18 months between my two and I feel so uncomfortable and the braxton hicks are something else this time..the midwife said its because its my second and my womb has done before so they will be stronger xx

Yes! I emailed my midwife about it because I had them with my 1st my never this strong and never this frequent and she just said unfortunately with subsequent pregnancies things just move a little bit more wild and things tend to feel a bit more intense because your body sort knows what’s to come essentially xxx
