3 week cough
Hi all. I’ve already taken little one to docs and they prescribed amoxicillin but thinking of getting a second opinion tomorrow. My little boy (5 months) has had this cough for nearly 3 weeks now. It’s only really when he cries/ is on his stomach it affects him and gets worse at the end of the day. Breathing seems normal. When I took him the other day she said possible chest infection (however he never actually coughed while being seen) , but now I’m wondering if it’s croup? Has anyone’s little one had a similar cough? Video below! I am concerned it’s lasted so long and has not improved at all since starting antibiotics.

They say croup sounds like a bark I would personally get another opinion especially if not improvement with antibiotics I think it does sound abit like croup x
This is interesting my LO has a similar cough again mostly when he cries or lays flat awake. Almost starts like a fake cough then becomes abit more violent. But everything else all fine, I’m abit paranoid as whooping cough is supposedly spreading. Croup normally has more of a cooing sound doesn’t sound like croup to me. I would go back and show them this video x
