My little one constantly tries to climb out of bed at bedtime and it can be a real battle! I understand that they want their independence but any ideas on how to calmly keep my little one in bed without having to put her back in bed 15 times?
Thanks x

I have no idea if this is the right thing to do but I let her do what she wants during our bedtime settle. We read stories and have some milk and a cuddle for about 45 mins before I leave her to settle herself to sleep which she really doesn’t mind. During the 45 mins she loves to roam around her room, get in and out of bed, pretend she is going to sleep on the floor etc. I try not to make a big deal of it as I know she’ll just push to do the opposite of what I want and she always eventually makes it to her bed to go to sleep.

We’ve moved ours into a bed with no sides and we’re the same, unless she gets herself in a pickle (shouldn’t do as I’ve tried to proof the room as best I can) we’ll just leave her too it. Tbh if she stayed up quietly playing til 9pm I might get a lie in so I don’t mind 😅 tbf she hasn’t actually tried to get out yet just fall out 😂 xx
