NHS recommendation is to sterilise pumps and containers/bottles for breastmilk. - edit: this is now irrelevant as the previous commenter deleted their comment 😂
I had the Elvie with my first child and I’m fairly certain it said in the little booklet not to use a steam steriliser? I know my Medela pump says not to use a steam steriliser as well. I think it’s a risk to warping parts or damaging the seals etc. I tend to cold water sterilise.

I sterilise my momcozy and spectra pumps in the steam steriliser and have done for 6 months now with no issues. I’m an exclusive pumper so I am constantly washing and sterilising parts ☺️

In the Elvie book it says to just put it in boiling water for 5mins. I personally cold water sterilise so do that.
