4 weeks pp and stitches are still there?
I’m almost 4 weeks pp and all of my stitches are still hanging on… arent they supposed to be fallen out by now? Ive only noticed one fell out 2 weeks ago when i was wiping. Just had the guts to look at my vagina today and it was exactly what i thought, all of them are there still🤮

Depending on how bad your stitches were they can be there for up to 12 weeks I believe, but normally they should be gone by 4-6 weeks so I wouldn't worry to much unless they are painful to you
Thanks! I only had a 1st degree tear. Not painful but definitely uncomfortable and sensitive down there still. When i asked how many stitches they were giving me they said “just a few” which was not helpful at all lol.
I had a first degree tear too. Mine were gone at 6wks

Good to know!! Thanks everyone. I had internal and external stitches. External ones are weirdly pretty high. Labia tears mostly.
Mine finally dissolved at 5 weeks
I had the dissolvable ones and they didn’t leave until five weeks
