Hi! I currently have a nanny. She is with my baby a couple of days a week, and we have had her since April. I wonder if anyone could tell me if they have Nanny rules like expectations, but I wanted opinions from other families.

I was a nanny for several years and common expectations of the job were keeping the home clean (more so making sure toys were put away), children’s laundry/dishes were cleaned, not being on the phone unless it was to get in touch with parents. I even worked for some families that wanted me to have a general idea of what activities and outings the kids could do so we weren’t just sitting around the house
Keeping you updated when diapers+wipes need to be restocked would also be helpful!
our nanny’s expectations are to do everything dealing with our son; dishes, laundry, play area, feeding, naps, play time etc. she is great & does our laundry and dishes when she has time but because she wants to. once he gets older & i feel more comfortable she will take him to story time & the park etc.

It depends. How well is she compensated? Some parents expect a full blown house manager/nanny on a baby sitters salary.
