Pain relief
Has anyone taken any pain meds other than paracetamol whilst being pregnant? I’ve got a horrific sore throat and paracetamol is only providing relief for about an hour.
Usually I’d alternate paracetamol and ibuprofen every 2 hours but we can’t take ibuprofen whilst being pregnant 😭 I’ve hardly slept and ate the last few days as it’s so painful 😰

It’s not advised unfortunately so maybe speak to your midwife. Hot lemon and honey may help xx
I managed to get some codeine when I had an ear infection but they will only give you a really low dose of it and tbh I don’t feel it made any difference because it was such a low dosage 😂 but I know you can take it if prescribed x
