Hey yall, so my baby daddy doesn’t know about our daughter, he was extremely abusive but I still end up feeling bad he doesn’t know her. Don’t worry, he will not be involved whatsoever, I just have guilt that he’s missing out on our beautiful girl because of his decisions, just wanted to rant a little :)

Hun, it sounds like you have made the best choice for you and that beautiful baby.
If I means that your keeping her safe from violence then you have done the right thing.
I was in a domestic violence relationship while having my first and pregnant with my second when I ran away. I tried to let him be apart of their lives but he chose drugs and crime and abuse towards me, so I put my foot down and he doesn't see his children. He hasn't seen them in over 5 years and before that he seen then maybe 5 times but always turned up late, or under the influence or abused me. My girls are now 12 and 10 and refuse to have anything to do with them on their own choice. You could do visits in a visitation centre if you want to but if you believe it is going to cause trauma to baby then I'd continue life without him and when she is 16 or 18 can make her own choice then.

Just remember it's so much better for kids to have one stable parent doing the right thing.
I understand that feeling. It will fade more over time

I understand, but considering the child. I feel she should have a feel of yes I have a dad

Anyone who would hurt a mama could possibly hurt a child imo. Keep babies safe.
And if you did go to court and try to suggest visiting at visitation center it would be up to the judge or it could start there and even progress like who really knows what would end up being the case. I wouldn't chance it personally. An abuser isn't a safe person
