Teething and biting
Anyone else’s little one currently teething and biting down on you while feeding?🥲is there anything I can do to stop it or at least reduce it because it’s happening at most feeds at the moment and it HURTS! We are doing the usual things for teething throughout the day; nurofen, teething powder, teether toys, offering cold/frozen things to chew on etc but still every time I feed her she bites down on me😅

My baby girl is doing this a lot!!! She’s 15 weeks tomorrow xx
Following! This has actually made me want to stop BF the last few weeks she’s doing it that much (or at least replace a feed or two ), but she also outright refuses a bottle so I’m stuck 🤦♀️ She’s 4.5 months so doesn’t quite understand the “ow!” suggestions
she honestly bit down so hard yesterday that I was like ‘oh my god I could give up breastfeeding right now’…apparently saying ‘ow’ can make them do it more😳because they get a reaction so they think it’s a game! I used to do an ‘ow’ but then I stopped and just started unlatching her for a second then going again!
Give her the cold thing right before breastfeeding, and if she still bites, stop and set her down and walk away. Come back and resume feeding after a few minutes.
