Mine looks the same, it's itchy all the time too especially now being pregnant. I don't know that there's anything you can do to flatten it..

You can break keloid scaring down with scar massage and things like silver nitrate dressings.

Itching is normal, it’s nerve regeneration. Nerves are stitching back together and firing signals. Happens with all my scars once healed and happened with my section scar.

Might be a weird question cause of the location of the scar but have you had direct sunlight on it? I wasn't even told not to after c section but know this from having other surgeries. Direct sun makes the scar bigger and heal weird

Not sure where you are located but we deal with keloid scars all the time at work. There is a keloid gel you can buy and also tapes which help reduce it. You can also get steroid injections which help flatten the keloid. This is in the uk if you are based somewhere else you may have other options

my scar is still red, 4 months pp. I have got the Frieda tapes, can I start using them ?

We usually recommend Kelo-cote you can get it in boots also I think! It’s about £27. My husband is Nigerian and is getting a keloid so I did look around and it does seem to be the most recommended. Tapes I’m not sure with but I used to have a client who was a plastic surgeon and when she had a breast uplift she brought them on Amazon I think. If it doesn’t improve speak to your gp about the steroid injections and see if it’s something they can refer you for. We used to charge roughly £150 for a session and you usually need 2-3 sessions. My whole company shut down abruptly last week so can’t even recommend my place lol but if your in London and want treatment I know a really nice doctor who also doesn’t charge crazy amounts to do the treatment x

I would yeah! I think as long as the wound is healed it’s safe to put the tape on and after 4 months I’d say it was and it would just be scar tissue healing. I believe you keep them on pretty much all the time just obviously changing them to new ones when needed x
