Head protection pillows

My partner mentioned that he wants this to help prevent head damage when baby boy starts to move.

We didn’t use this with my son, but honestly there were times I wish I would’ve. I’m heavily considering purchasing for the next baby

I didn't get one. My boy is 10 months now, and since I didn't get one and he did fall and bang his head a couple times, he now is sooo careful sitting back down after pulling himself up standing as he knows if he flings himself back that it will hurt.

There's no need, when they learn to stand they need to learn to lean forward and have their centre of gravity over their feet. babies have been learning to walk for millennia without them 😉

No. We just bought a huge foam mat for the lounge room when he was a baby and removed the coffee table so he’s got that whole area to play/roll/crawl and it’s a soft landing. A rug or foam mat is perfectly fine. Of course he doesn’t aways stay on it, but when he goes off the mat he knows to be more careful, they just learn. Like falling when walking, they slowly learn that as well.

Both mine always fell forward not backwards 🤷‍♀️
Either way I don't think it's necessary.

Doesn't matter what you do, baby WILL find a way to hurt themselves lol babies are designed to be resistant so there's no need for things like this

Get an oversized playpen and a foam mat.
My son after ine has busted his head (tripping at 5below) cut the corner of his eye while in the hospital for another issue. Kids are wild untameable things we just gotta teach them caution and let them Rock. In this day and age we gotta have tough but aware sons.

I wouldn’t buy one, didn’t buy one. It stops children learning the correct way to fall which will end up in more injuries later on in life. Just let baby explore in a softer/padded area until more confident.

We got a helmet when she started walking, she kept hitting her head on the worst things, although she would never really keep it on so we just put foam linings all over the corners and borders of things

I’m definitely getting one when my boy starts moving around.
