Following. I was in the same situation the first time!

So far I have Lucozade sport, popcorn, rice cakes, granola bars, crisps.

Bananas are really good if you have any at the time to add last minute

Dried fruit (mango etc), cereal bars, that sort of thing.

I have packed lucozade sport, ritz crackers (snack packs) and jelly babies so far. Will add cereal bars, biscuits and pringles. Easy to pack and share with my birth partners. Also have a stanley cup dupe for my water. My second birth partner also agreed to bring fresh fruit in on the day 😊 x

You all going healthy and then there’s me with…
•Red Bull
•2litre bottle of fruit squash with ice.
•bbq Pringles
•fruit strings
•squashies drumsticks

And depending on the time I head to the hospital, I plan to pick up a Simmons bap and cake. 😂😂😂

I’m intrigued about the ice… how are you storing it? I’d love to take some x

I’m just using cold bottled water to make my juice up to about 1.5l and then fitting as much ice in the remaining space of the bottle. Once it melts it melts.
I’ve got a cool bag with ice packs to keep redbull cool for up to 6hr.

My first labour was only 3hrs 58mins bare in mind. Not to say my 2nd will be the same as his laying side ways and hanging on longer than my first did! I’m due in 6days and still no sign.x

I’ll be taking a mix of easy to grab snacks, both sweet and savoury. Also if I feel I have the time I’ll be getting a McDonald’s or something on the way

We froze some big bottles of water and squash last time to take with us. Then by the time it defrosts it’s nice and cold.

Granola bars, oats cookies, dried fruit, Ritz, pretzels, some deportive drinks, maybe some mini bags of chips

Omg I was the same! I wish they’d have warned me I couldn’t eat afterwards. I’d have still had the epidural but I wish I could have mentally prepared for not being allowed to eat! I went 36 hours without food and then they didn’t cater for my allergy so come breakfast after son was born I couldn’t even eat. I had to wait another 4 hours for my husband to bring me food because they wouldn’t let him in outside of visitation, not even to bring me food when they weren’t feeding me. Lunch and dinner I was fed but breakfast I was neglected. I will be taking LOADS of food and snacks this time because I just don’t trust them

Last time I packed cereal bars, dried fruit, crackers, crisps, chocolate and lucozade sport. Not going to lie, I did not fancy eating any of it due to my surge in hormones during labour. I also didn’t manage to eat my meal they gave me and then I didn’t realise I’d be left with snacks I didn’t fancy! This time I’m going to try packing bananas, apples and things that are actually refreshing (if possible). I’m thinking of bringing a cool bag and ice packs but will depend on what food we have in the house at the time. I think it’s awful that hospitals do not offer out of hours catering. I’d happily pay 😂

Another Stanley cup dupe from TK maxx here. 🙋‍♀️😅 I got it to take it to the hospital, and it also seems useful when breastfeeding and only having one hand free.

I'm planning on getting snacks for sure. 😄 Generally, anything that won't go off and isn't too messy to eat - nuts, granola/raw protein bars, crisps, fruit, carrot/cucumber sticks, oat bars etc.

I’ve packed nutri grain bars cause I love em! And them pots of fruit that you buy on the shelves - last time I was in labor i would have loved some fruit and at 5am they didn’t have any to offer me…. Plus some lucozade isotonic drinks and my Stanley for water. 😆 basically anything that can’t get squished or needs to be refrigerated cause I know I won’t remember to re pack it!
