dihydrocodeine withdrawal causing diarrhea,
Any one else get this? Had a section over a week ago and stopped my tablets a couple days ago and Iv got chest pains, wind, I’m burping loads, and I’m literally passing liquid every time I go to the toilet… and I’m on iron tablets so normally I’d be the total opposite.

I had the same symptoms but don’t think it was withdrawal. Have you been given peppermint capsules to help with the wind? I am sure that you as what caused the diarrhoea, but it did all settle after about 10 days. Xx
Dihydrocodeine gave me constipation, so was given a laxative, so I guess mine was all sorts of consistency in the beginning.
Although I stopped taking the dihydrocodeine at day 5
Codiene can cause constipation so it’s not impossible that it would cause diarrhoea once you stop taking it. Just give it a few days for your body to regulate x
If you have shortness of breath or issues with your chest it’s worth getting in touch with the hospital. Diarrhoea and the other symptoms could be caused by multiple things and should pass but the chest pains are worth raising, although they could also just be related to low iron.
I’m actually in a&e to get checked out now 😫 the chest pains got me worried. 3 hours wait with a 10 day old and a toddler at home…. I’m hoping it’s just trapped wind hahahah
