If I did dna through cms what happens? I know I’ll get cms but can he apply to be on the birth certificate. What rights will he have? Is it worth it ?

If I’m correct in the uk I think he can apply to be in the birth certificate and then it means he’d have the exact same rights as you regarding your child.
My daughter only has me on her birth certificate and I didn’t go through cms because to me it’s not worth it, I’d rather keep my daughter safe.
But obviously everyone’s situation is different.

He can apply to court to be named on the birth certificate even without a dna test. If you contested, you could be ordered to do a DNA test by court, and if you refused he would be granted it anyway
What’s the best option to do please?

I don’t know your situation so I can’t really say, if he’s a danger to your child I wouldn’t do it. If you choose not to it, it may be hard but worth it

My child’s father requested a dna through cms but never went through with it so I know the process you’d have to go through to do the dna if that helps? But with the birth certificate do you think he’ll want to be on it? X
