I’m 33+4 weeks and my baby has hiccups about 4/5 times a day since I was about 28 weeks. They last anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour… has anyone else had this? I’ve tried googling it but I can’t find anything about when to be concerned? Is this normal for her to have them so often throughout the day.

My third baby who is currently 4 months old was like this… hiccups multiple times a day and usually same times every day lol. When she come out she even had the hiccups quite often. Since getting a little bit bigger she doesn’t get them as often now.. but I don’t think you have anything to be concerned about. If your worried, maybe just bring it up at your next appointment ☺️

Mine doesn’t have them quite as often but for sure once a day. I read online that it’s them trying to breathe with lungs so I’m happy that she’s practicing this skill already at 31 weeks. But it’s a tad annoying isn’t it especially at night

My boy always hiccuping every day

Mine hiccups very regularly, maybe twice or more a day, been like this for many weeks but I'm not concerned. They are practicing breathing, sucking and swallowing at this stage and that can cause hiccups.
I think it's a normal and healthy part of them practicing for the outside world.
