How to end a relationship

How do i tell him its over yet knowing me and the children have no where to go but honestly I can’t keep pretending that we are in a couple because its more like a lodger who just sleep in the same bed and its breaks my heart but i just can’t spend years being with someone who never actually cares about my feelings would rather work only wants me to give him affection never just cuddles me or buys me flowers or send any good morning messages or nice ones i have given up everything moved from family and had two babies in 2 years and never seem appreciated. And tbh i think he only plays along because the kids would live with me most of the time and he wouldn’t just see them everyday even though he isn’t hands on anyway
