I’ve been introducing allergens to my baby one by one and so far he’s had hives on his face after eating eggs and milk. He hasn’t even tried nuts or most of the other allergens yet 😬
We’re going to get a blood test tomorrow. Even though I know rationally that it’s unlikely to be serious and chances are high he’ll grow out of it, I’m still a worried mama and can’t help catastrophising.
Is anyone else in the same boat?

My first had quite a bad egg allergy, among other allergies- and interestingly, none of the other main ones. It made weaning a bit more challenging, but he’s 3 now and successfully completed the egg ladder and as a toddler LOVES eggs! And has also outgrown most other allergies he had too.
how was your baby diagnosed? Did he have other allergies too? That’s good to hear that he grew out of it eventually!

I went to the GP, they referred me to the paediatric dietician, he had skin prick testing done by them and then they gave me the dietary advice following that. By then I had photographs of all the different reactions, food diaries etc.
Yes he did, again most we knew already and had confirmed by the skin prick, but there were some we hadn’t given him and we found out at that appointment.

How long after eating it did he come out in hives? Do you have a pic? Trying to figure out whether my lil one has reacted too x

oh poor lil thing!! That’s good to know though, my little one keeps coming up with random rashes but don’t seem to coincide with allergens as it always seems to be like 2 days later… I know they say it can take up to 72 hours but I have a feeling that is rare! It’s a slow process to confirm! X
