Lower extremity swelling post c-section

I am 11 days postpartum and my feet/legs have been soooo swollen ever since my c-section 😭 I had a scheduled c-section but baby girl decided she wanted to arrive one day earlier so ended up having an ā€œurgentā€ c-section in the middle of the night. I asked the nurse about the swelling before we left the hospital and she said it was normal and not to worry and it could last up to a month 🤯 this is my second c-section and I didn’t have anywhere close to this level of swelling with my first baby! I have a follow up with my doctor next week Wednesday but has anyone experienced anything similar? At this point I’m more concerned about the swelling than I am my incision…

Normal, I had to have help washing my feet and could barely walk. Put you feet up and rest when you can. It gets better

My feet were more swollen after my c-section than they were before birth!

Walking helps circulation but also elevate them when you can.

It is normal but still keep an eye on blood pressure because postpartum preeclampsia is still a concern

My legs were so swollen until 2-3 months after my c-section

It’s from the fluids they gave you and stuff. You need to make sure you’re getting up and walking around as much as you can handle. When you’re sitting or in bed prop your feet up higher than your chest and drink lots of water. They may be able to give you water pills but ask your OB
