Ideas for gift for new parents

My friend is due her baby next month and I’ve completely forgotten all the useful things I needed in the newborn stage.

I don’t want to get clothes because that’s all anyone gives.

I’ve for something for baby but I want a gift for mum and dad that will actually be helpful for them!

So far I’ve got an Uber eats voucher and a mum and dad mug but want something else!

One of the best gifts I got was a nappy caddy with bits like nappy rash cream, nappies and wipes, nappy bags etc! I have one downstairs and one upstairs and I use them every day. So bloody handy!! I have everything I need in there and in the early days this was the one thing I remember thinking was great 😂

A good present I got was a box of baby medicine because I didn’t realise what was needed! Eg: calpol, saline spray, vapour rub, teething gel, aspirator etc x

Vanish stain remover bar, boring but necessary and so helpful (with other nice stuff too!)

Yes these are all amazing- my friend did me a basket with disposable pants, maternity pads, lucozade sport for birth, plus essentials you wouldnt think of like Jessica said, saline spray, snot sucker, snufflebabe etc. Snacks, home cooked food and vouchers, dry shampoo, pjs for mum etc all fab. People usually go down the ‘pamper’ route for mum which I avoid as I felt like crap when my baby was a newborn I could hardly have a shower somedays never mind doing a face mask and I felt like a failure because of it x

Thank you!! The newborn stage feels like such a blur that I can’t remember what was actually useful! Definitely going to do some medicine bits because I had none of that when he was little and had to emergency buy it all!
