I often read posts on here in the wee hours when I can’t sleep. I see so so many about BD’s/partners/husbands etc being problematic during the pregnancy or when the baby has arrived. Obviously going into single parenting is going to have all its own set of issues and struggles, but I’m starting to feel like in some circumstances I’m going to have it easier. Clearly I’m trying to put a positive spin on my own situation so I don’t feel so scared, but honestly so far the benefits I can see:
1. No bed sharing!!!
2. No disagreements over moral/value based decisions or parenting styles
3. No dealing with lack of empathy or care
4. No expectation to maintain a sex life if my body or libido isnt feeling it
5. No financial control during maternity leave
6. No in-laws to tackle

I needed this post😍
It’s easy to feel down about being a single mum but all these pointers are so true

I needed this ❤️

Even though I wrote some of these points on another comment. I didn't realise how much I, too, needed this post. It's been getting very overwhelming recently, and this has just made today that little bit easier!

Independence!!!
No feeling guilty of not looking after them
And the mental and emotional trauma that comes with a useless person.

It’s peaceful 💖

NGL I needed this and it’s all so true! 😄

I love this!! ❤️
Being a single parent is no walk in the park, but doing it with the wrong person by your side is so detrimental to every aspect of who you are as an individual and a mother.
You've got this 🙌

I’ve been a single parent since my son was 2 months old
Everysays I’m amazing and I know I am!
I became stronger then I ever thought I would

I needed this too. Don’t feel so alone now xx ❤️
