My family is going through a tough time - a close relative is extremely sick. And it’s rightfully drawing everyone’s focus. But I feel super behind. I haven’t washed baby clothes, packed a hospital bag, or even shopped for essentials. I don’t have postpartum supplies for me, diapers for baby, or anything like that. We haven’t even scheduled a hospital tour. My partner & I are helping with caregiving for the relative so we’re busy & preoccupied & emotional & stressed. I am just worried that baby will be here before we know it & I’ll still be super underprepared. We also have a toddler at home so there is no down time at all. I guess I just needed to vent, but also any advice is appreciated 💗

There is no reason to freak out when your toddler is asleep try packing ur bags than even though everything seems stress and overwhelming getting the littlest things ready will make you feel better even if it’s jus washing a load of clothes everyday or putting little things aside for you and ur baby.

Can Amazon deliver the essentials so you don’t feel like you have to find time to go out and shop for them?

Highly recommend going ahead and placing a Walmart/target pickup or Amazon order for postpartum supplies and diapers/wipes. Next time you do laundry, just throw a few baby things in with yours/toddlers so you have a few days worth. Don't fret too much about hospital tour, if you're not going to be scheduled and you don't know where to go, just go through the ER entrance. Make a quick list of "birth vibes" things you want and give that to the nurse when you get there. As long as you have some diapers, clothes and a safe place for babe to sleep, you'll be fine

You got this. Like everyone else said Amazon & Walmart. I also have been very busy and have just barely started getting things together. This is my second so I already have a bassinet and the basics. Just take it one step at a time. Get your bags packed and order some essentials. It will be okay.

I second getting your postpartum stuff delivered! I work full time and by the time I’m done with work and also having dinner and playing with my toddler, I most often than not have no energy to do anything. It’s exhausting!!! If you have your hospital bag ready, your bassinet next to your bed, and a few essentials out for baby (wipes, diapers, a few clothes) then you’re plenty prepared. All their clothes don’t need to get washed and put away, their nursery doesn’t have to be finished, etc. especially with a toddler!!! You’re doing great mama!!
