Almost done

I’m 36 weeks and 1 day I have scheduled a c section for next Monday when I turn 37 weeks. Because I am type 1 diabetic and have been put on stronger insulin during second trimester since pregnancy made me so insulin resistant and its made my baby a BIG boy. Last growth ultrasound was at 34 weeks and 4 days and he was already 7.7 lbs. 99th percentile today they said my uterus is measuring at 46 cm and said that’s like being 46 weeks pregnant. (Great!🥲)I just can’t wait till I get to have him. Honestly I don’t feel that bad, i defiantly have to take it easy but I can get through the day of mothering a 5 year old and chores a bit uncomfortable but fine. My bp has been good, I’ve had not much swelling and I worked really hard this whole pregnancy on my blood sugars and diet. I just can’t wait to be done with being pregnant. I am a little scared of the c section but I think it will go ok where I’m going now I had one with my first and it was at a way worse hospital and I was much sicker with lots of fluid and preeclampsia the surgery part was terrible they had problems putting in the anesthesia and kept putting the huge needle in and out, my bp was through the roof, and then I started to puke halfway through. The recovery was not bad though, I didn’t need hardly any meds and it healed good being a diabetic. This time I’m getting my tubes removed too hopefully that doesn’t add any pain or recovery time. I was just thinking how my uterus has to go from being super huge all the way back to normal after 😭 I’m nervous and keep questioning if I have everything I need but I’m also so excited to meet my baby and need to have him before he runs out of room in there lol
