I feel so silly even typing this but🤷🏻♀️
I have been married to my husband since march, but we’ve been together for 3 years now, and yet I still have such a hard time initiating adult time. I feel like it’s definitely putting a damper in our sex life, but I still just freeze Everytime I try. Idk what to do. How do I get over this?

Do you know why? Are you shy or overly afraid of rejection in general? Did you grow up in a very repressed or religious household? Something else? Unpicking why might help. Calling it 'adult time' feels like you might not be used to talking about sex.
To start with I'd communicate to your husband that this is something you want to work on together. If he knows what you're trying to do he'll likely be more attentive to your probably very subtle hints.
Otherwise I think it's just a case of practice makes perfect! Keep doing it until it feels natural and normal - because it is.
I am a little shy, and I always have been when it comes to sex. Also the “adult time” wasn’t really a way to downplay the subject; it’s just something my husband and I say😂 he does know this too, but he wants me to “initiate” more, and basically refuses to initate himself. I know it’s a natural thing, that’s why I don’t understand why I can’t simply just do it

I’m in the exact boat. Been with my partner for years and I struggle to initiate.

Yup hatteeee initiating. And when he does it's always after I'm asleep and I'd rather stay asleep than start. Which then hurts his feelings and the cycle just continues. Now that it's been so long I just wake up in middle crying knowing it's my fail. I love it while it's going on but also I'm so tired.
I heard some one talk about how they hate saying it so they light a candle in bedroom as code and that helps. Mine didn't think the idea was great. Maybe try that?

How about an old school way, maybe give him a massage?
