32 weeks, ate in a restaurant abroad (EU) and didn’t realise until half way through that lumps of my burger were pink (amongst cooked burger).
Is the worry only if I get sick?

Was it a beef burger? I have just been in France and had the same thing, didn’t matter how well I asked it to be cooked it was still really pink in the middle. I believe it’s only if it makes you sick that it’s a problem.
yes beef burger! & I thought the same about being sick but then just read you can have toxoplasmosis with no symptoms 🤔

The food recommendations are just due to the fact that your immune system is compromised so issues like food poisoning are harder for your body to deal with. I really wouldn't worry, it's a pretty low risk and some countries (France being one) don't have same restriction recommendations when it comes to food.
If you do start feeling unwell just monitor movements and contact your midwife / triage depending how bad x
Thank you for the reassurance both ❤️

I think it's the risk of listeria that is the concern when it comes to eating pink meat, which can impact baby. However I'm not sure if thats just in the first trimester, or what they do to determine if you have this x
