Do formula fed babies sleep longer at night

Currently exclusively breastfeeding our almost 3 month old however my husband returns to work next week and the only reason I get any sleep atm is because he takes baby for a couple hours at night so I can sleep (baby will sleep a couple hours if she’s sleeping on our chest otherwise she wakes every 30 mins or every hour). When he returns to work I will be alone with baby at night. Considering switching to formula if it will make her sleep longer in her cot.

It takes longer for babies to process formula so usually yes

I feel like formula for sure helps from my experience I didn’t sleep for two days and my milk wouldn’t come in I had to feed my baby formula so she could eat and it helped me get a nap in. She is a newborn she sleeps 2-3hours on breast milk and 4-5 hours on formula milk

You could try collecting milk from the other breast (hakka pump) when feeding during the day and giving a bigger feed before bed? Does baby fall asleep on the breast? Could be that baby is falling asleep before getting enough milk?

I used to give my lo a bottle of formula after his bath and would still wake up to within 30min for a quick go on the boob! Babies have two stomachs when it comes to breastmilk. Have you tried co-sleeping and breastfeeding laying down?
